Whats up my name is Dannin Eccles and I’m from kiwi land (New Zealand). ever since I was a youngling my family would drive 6 hours once a year to go skiing at Coronet Peak, Queenstown. I loved snow with a passion so once I turned 15 I decided out of the blue that I was going to try snowboarding. I convinced my mum to move to Queenstown for the season so I could give snowboarding a go and my journey begun.
I still remember my first day on snow 06/29/11, I had a bet with my friends I would do a frontflip and if I didn’t try it I would owe every one $5 so naturally I had to do it. I didn’t quite land it but ever since that day I knew that all I wanted to do in life was snowboard and I would push myself so hard that either I’d make it in the industry or I’d die trying.
A year later I find myself in Colorado for the season training with Ski and Snowboard Club Vail and traveling around America for competitions.
Next year I shall be traveling the world to compete in the World Snowboard Tour to try and make my mark on the snowboard world and in 2018 I hope to qualify for the 2018 Winter Olympics and represent New Zealand for Slopestyle.
